Meet Our Principals

Bill J. Elliott Families,

My name is Ashley James, and I am honored to serve as the new Principal of Bill J. Elliott Elementary School. As a proud Fort Worth native and graduate of O. D. Wyatt High School, I understand firsthand the impact that caring educators, strong relationships, and supportive school communities can have on the success of our students.

With more than 17 years in public education, I have had the privilege of serving as an elementary teacher, curriculum writer, new teacher induction specialist, teacher development coach, instructional coach, and assistant principal. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Prairie View A&M University, as well as my principal certification from Lamar University.

As I begin this exciting journey at Bill J. Elliott Elementary, I am committed to fostering a school culture where every child is challenged to achieve their highest potential, every educator is supported in their professional growth, and every family feels welcomed, valued, and connected. I believe that when schools and families work together, students thrive both academically and personally.

I look forward to partnering with you as we build on our school's successes and create meaningful opportunities for all students to learn, grow, and excel. Together, we will ensure that Bill J. Elliott Elementary is a place where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to succeed.

With gratitude and excitement,

Ashley James
Principal, Bill J. Elliott Elementary School
