As the newly appointed Principal of Bill J. Elliott Elementary,

I am humbled and most appreciative of the opportunity presented to me to serve as a member of this educational family. I’m looking forward to serving our students, parents and community. I truly believe that through collaborative efforts we’ll continue to strengthen the academic foundation of our students and impact our community.

I started my journey in public education not intending to stay on my way to law school; somehow passion and purpose collided and I remained! I’ve served as a Classroom Teacher, United Way LLI Coordinator, Dyslexia Facilitator, Learning Network Specialist and Assistant Principal at T.A. Sims Elementary.

Nolan Brooks

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal of Bill J. Elliott Elementary School. My name is Nolan Brooks, and I understand every step I take matters. Therefore, it is with great enthusiasm and gratitude that I step into this new role. 

For the past 22 years, i have had the privilege of serving this wonderful school community as a 5th grade teacher for 17 years and Data Analyst/Test Coordinator for 5 years. During this time, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication, passion, and resilience of our staff, students, and families. It has been an incredible journey, and I am deeply honored to continue contributing to our school's success in a new capacity. 

As I transition into the role of Assistant Principal, my commitment to our school's mission remains steadfast. I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive in the hive academically, socially, and emotionally.  I am committed to the Task, Effective in the Process, Inspiring to the team and Focused to the Finish. I look forward to working closely with our talented staff, supportive families, and most importantly, our amazing students to ensure we continue to grow and achieve excellence together.

I am eager to build upon the strong foundation we have established and to support the innovative and collaborative culture that defines Bill J. Elliott Elementary. My door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have. Together, we will continue to make our school a place where every child feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
